The proposal is for a new Regulation on standards of quality and safety for substances of human origin intended for human application. If adopted by the Parliament and Council, this Regulation will replace the Tissues and Cells Directive from 2004 and has the potential to bring important improvements for people requiring Medically Assisted Reproduction (MAR).
