Professional experiences/competencies:
- Andrology: Perform diagnostic semen analysis per WHO guidelines, communicate results, manage data entry in IDEAS, handle donor sperm storage, cryopreserve/thaw samples, and prepare sperm for IUI, IVF, and ICSI.
- Embryology: Prepare dishes, media, and documentation for ET/EC, monitor lab stock, and perform witnessing procedures as well as semen collection and analysis, embryo biopsy, media preparation, oocyte retrieval, vitrification and ICSI micromanipulation.
- Lab Maintenance: Communicate with staff/patients, participate in quality control, handle gas cylinders, manage LN2 vessels, ensure SOP compliance, understand HFEA regulations, risk management, and report incidents/near misses.
- Internship as Medical Laboratory Scientist.
- Rotation through various Medical Laboratories: Biochemistry, Immunology, Molecular, Microbiology, Cytology, Pathology & Anatomy and Hematology.
Personal characteristics/educational background:
- MSc degree in Reproductive Medicine: Science and Ethics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and multitasking.
- Passionate about reproductive health and advancing knowledge in embryology.
